September 23, 2026A held seat now looks like a held seat
When someone books online and pays by card, we hold their place for 30 minutes while the payment goes through. Those holds were showing up as if they were completed bookings — so an abandoned checkout looked like a booking with money owed on it. It now says plainly that the seat is only being held, and until when.
- Holding · 1:13 PM — a held seat says so on the client's profile and in Reservations, instead of reading as a confirmed booking.
- It is not money you are owed — a place being held no longer counts towards a client's outstanding balance, or the unpaid list on your dashboard.
- A held seat no longer confirms a trip on its own — only places that have actually been paid for count towards the minimum, so nobody is told a trip is confirmed off a booking that then expires.
- Your new-booking email says if the deposit has not arrived — and what time the seat is held until, in your own timezone.
