    Invoices and quotes

The invoice, the quote and the credit note agree with the till

Raise an invoice on its own or against a visit, send a quote with a date it is good until, and reverse money with a credit note that goes back the way it came.

An invoice open on the screen: its lines, the tax line, the total, and the booking it belongs to.

    Without it

A resort asks for an invoice. It is written in a spreadsheet, numbered by hand, and when it is paid the payment lands somewhere the booking cannot see. Then it needs cancelling, somebody deletes it, and the numbers have a hole in them.

    What Seascape does

An invoice takes the next number for your shop and can name the visit it belongs to, so its lines and the booking's money are the same money. Send it by email and the customer pays it by card from the link. A draft is deleted, a sent invoice is voided and keeps its number, and a paid one is reversed with a credit note. The credit note sends the money back the way it came: to store credit, across the activities of the visit, or to the till.

    • An invoice against a visit is the visit's own money.
    • A sent invoice keeps its number when it is voided.
    • A credit note names where the money went.
