The Seascape mark, and how to use it

Everything on this page is what the product actually renders — the same values, from the same source. Take what you need. If you are writing about Seascape, or building something that sits beside it, this is the whole set.

Building against it? /brand.json has every value below in one file.

    Clear space and size

The mark needs room, and it needs a floor. Below the minimum it stops being three bubbles and becomes two.

Keep clear space on every side equal to the diameter of the base bubble. Nothing sits inside it — not type, not a rule, not the edge of a panel.

    16px

    24px

    48px

16px is the floor for the mark, and it uses a separate drawing at that size — heavier strokes, larger bubbles. The lockup does not go below 96px wide.

    What not to do

Short list, and it is the whole list. If it is not here, ask.

    Don't recolour it

Seascape Blue, white or black. Nothing else.

    Don't stretch it

    Scale both dimensions together, always.

    Don't rotate it

The bubbles rise. Turning it takes the idea out.

    Don't rearrange it

The spacing between the three is the drawing.

    Don't add effects

No shadows, glows, gradients or outlines.

Don't set it on a busy photo

Use a solid panel, or the white version on a dark area.

    Colour

One brand colour and a small supporting set. Every value is a CSS token in the product — click any of them to copy.

    ColourHexTokenWhere it goes
    Seascape Blue
    --primary
The one brand colour. Buttons, links, the mark.
    Seascape Blue on dark
    --primary
The same role on a dark ground — not a second brand colour.
    Ocean
    --ocean-deep
Dark grounds: the sidebar, email headers, the browser chrome.
    Ocean Mid
    --ocean-mid
The second stop when a dark ground needs depth.
    Seafoam
    --seafoam
The highlight in display type. Used sparingly and never as a fill.
    Sand
    --sand
A warm neutral, to stop an all-blue page reading cold.
    Coral
    --coral
    Attention. Never a decorative choice.
    Sunset
    --sunset
    Accents in illustration and charts.
    Ink
    --foreground
    Body text. Not pure black.
    Paper
    --background
    The page. Not pure white.

    Typography

Two typefaces, both from Google Fonts, both already loaded by the product. Outfit sets anything that is a title. Inter does everything else.

    Outfit · display

    The operating system

    Section and card titles

Weights 300–800. Display sizes take tracking-tight; small uppercase labels take tracking-wider.

    Inter · body

Bookings, payments, manifests and CRM — automated and connected. Everything a shop reads more than one line of is set in Inter.

Weights 300–600. There is deliberately no 700 loaded; bold body text is a sign something wanted to be a heading.

    The words

Seascape writes in plain sentences, second person, and says the true thing rather than the reassuring one. A few nouns are decided, and the product's own tests enforce them.

    We sayNotBecause
ActivitySession, event, classA dive, course or tour a shop runs.
ProductItem, SKUA thing off the shelf — a rash guard, a logbook.
Booking IDReservation numberThe whole visit. Carries a B: SCU-B0161.
Reservation IDActivity ID, line IDOne activity inside that visit: SCU-0253.
SecuredConfirmed (for a seat)A seat is secured. A trip is confirmed. Different facts.
Dives / stopsOne word for bothSnorkelling has stops. Diving has dives.

The rule behind the list: never invent a third word for a thing that already has two. A booking builder once offered “Add product”, “Add activity” and “Add shop item” for what were two actions, and a shop asked why there were three buttons. Fix the mislabelled control; do not route around it.

    Using the mark

You may use the Seascape mark to refer to Seascape — in an article, a comparison, an integration, a partner page. Use the files on this page rather than redrawing or screenshotting it, keep the clear space, and do not alter it. Do not use it to suggest Seascape endorses or is affiliated with something when it is not. If you are unsure, write to info@seascape.bz and we will usually just say yes.
