The "Issue refunds and voids" switch in Settings → Roles & Permissions did nothing — any member of a shop could refund, void a sale, void a tip, or send money back to a customer's card. It is enforced now, everywhere.

Three small things the product knew and never told you.

A manager could change what a manager is allowed to do — including granting themselves permissions their shop had switched off. Permissions are now owner-and-admin only, and nobody can change their own role's.

Four screens were hidden from everyone but the owner at most shops, and no switch in Settings could turn them on. They are visible again, and every shop now has the full list of permissions to choose from.

Several settings screens said "saved" without checking, so a change that was refused looked exactly like one that worked.

Your shop's website is now built from sections you can add, reorder and type straight into, with a real preview of your own site beside you. Draft it privately, send someone a link, publish when it reads right — and go back a version if you change your mind.

A file a customer emailed you can now be removed, and a record of the removal is kept after the file is gone.

Three things your dashboard could already see and never mentioned: emails that did not reach a customer, bookings with a waiver still unsigned, and divers who still owe their certification details.

Payment notifications are the most common in Seascape and were showing a generic bell, because the bell and your notification settings kept two separate lists that had drifted apart.

Every document on a client's record — certification cards, passports, medical forms — could be uploaded but never downloaded. The links have never worked.

A customer can reply with just a photo — a certification card, a passport page, a PDF — and it now reaches you. It was being thrown away in silence.

Save a segment of your customers and send them a campaign, with consent recorded rather than assumed.

A shop with its own sending domain can see who followed a link in an email, and a customer who texts STOP is obeyed everywhere.

Messages can now be searched, assigned, snoozed, starred and archived, and you can leave a private note on a conversation that no customer ever sees.

Four things that were always in your data and never said anything: a diver who still owes their certification details, a no-show, a diver who has not been back, and a birthday.

You can now see every email your shop sent, whether it arrived, and what to do about the ones that did not.

After a customer leaves you a review, they are offered your Google and TripAdvisor links, and a second gentle ask goes out when the first one went unanswered.

Every button in Messages is now a full-size target on a phone, and a translated message writes the month in the language you asked for.

The site describes what Seascape does for a shop, in plain words, and keeps its internals to itself.

Translate a customer's message into English without losing their words, and write your reply in English while sending it in their language.

A long conversation in a line or two, and two or three suggested replies under any message waiting on you. Tap one and it goes in the box, ready to change and send.

Adding a dive that has already happened now saves. It was refused every time since late July, with an error nobody could read.

A Draft button in Messages writes a reply using what the booking actually says — the trip and its date, what is still owed, whether the waiver is signed. It fills the box for you to read, change and send.

Messages could only answer a customer who had written first. Now you can start the conversation.

A reply from a Dutch customer arrived with the whole quoted chain attached, including your own previous email. English, French, German and Spanish were already handled.

The website stops looking like every other software site: a serif for the headings, a nautical-chart line under the sections, and animation only where it shows how something works.

Thirteen new pages describe capabilities the site never named: the shop inbox, equipment and rentals, maintenance, staff and licences, the waitlist, gift cards, reviews, group bookings, check-in, medical forms, invoicing, reporting, and switching from Bloowatch.

The first screen of seascape.bz is now a booking you can complete: pick a day from a demo shop's real departures, add divers, review the deposit, and get a Booking ID. Nothing is booked, no email goes out and no card is charged.

The demo shop pictured across the site is now Palm Reef Divers, and every screenshot was retaken.

Every page was rewritten to state the mechanism: what a payment does, when a seat is released, what a manifest shows.

The four steps under 'A day on Seascape' and the customer quotes were in the page but stayed hidden for anyone whose device does not have reduced motion on.

Two refund screens could record a refund as paid back to the card without the money ever leaving our account at the bank. The booking then read as refunded while the customer was still waiting, and nothing in the product said so.

A card refund recorded by hand could be counted a second time by the sweep that checks for refunds we missed, because it could not tell the two were the same one. A booking could then show more refunded than was ever paid.

Belize Bank reimburse their processing fee when a payment is refunded, so we should never have kept ours. A refund now returns the commission with the money, and your payout statement names each line as a payment or a refund instead of leaving a minus sign to say it.

The reservation panel now shows the Booking ID your staff use with each other, next to the reservation's own code, and every screen that shows one of the two now says which one it is.

A customer's reply now emails the people who read their own mail, not just the shop's main inbox — and a customer who writes to us directly no longer disappears.

Analytics no longer competes with the page for a phone's connection, and the sign-up page stops promising a trial length nobody has confirmed.

The blog and this changelog now arrive fully written in the page itself, so search engines and answer engines can read them instead of a loading message.

The homepage now uses real screenshots of Seascape instead of drawings, and says only what we can stand behind.

The website's navigation was rebuilt: a grouped Product menu, an industry menu, and a menu that opens on a phone at all.

The website now answers the questions a shop asks before signing up, on pages of their own.

Seascape's website and sign-in pages now come in light and dark, and pick whichever your device is set to.

Buttons anchored at the bottom of a phone screen sat inside the area iOS reserves for the home indicator — awkward to reach, and easy to swipe away by accident. This was wrong in fifteen places, each with its own hand-picked number.

A phone can quietly lose its notification registration — after an app reinstall, an iOS update, or simply time. When that happened, nothing noticed: Settings showed a green Enabled badge and the test button always said it had sent.

The Messages list ran off the side of the screen on a phone, cutting every preview at the edge of the display instead of inside the card.

When a customer replies, the reply is now emailed to your shop inbox as it arrives — and you can answer by simply hitting Reply in your mail app. Your answer reaches the customer and appears on the thread in Messages.

Activities that are not bookable online no longer appear on your public site, and the ones that are now sit in labelled sections, each with its own page you can send a customer straight to.

A new Messages page in the sidebar lists every customer conversation with unread counts, and a badge says how many are waiting. Replies show only what the customer wrote, in your shop's time zone.

Opening a reservation used to show twelve small buttons before anything else. It now opens on Overview | Payments | Messages | Notes with one clear next step at the bottom and the rest under More.

A shop that owns a domain can verify it under Settings → Integrations → Email sending address and send every customer email as hello@yourdomain instead of hello@mail.seascape.bz. Replies still land in Messages.

Two refinements from watching the assistant work on a real shop: it no longer asks whether to propose a check-in, and a cancellation is recorded the moment you confirm it, before the customer's email goes out.

The assistant on your phone can now look things up in your own shop and, when you confirm, check a diver in, cancel a reservation or add a note. It can also listen and read back.

Two small things from phone screenshots: the close button in Notifications no longer sits on top of Mark all read, and the AI Assistant's message box no longer touches the bottom edge of the screen.

Search on a phone now has proper filters — narrow by date or reservation status — and everything you tap got bigger. The menu runs edge to edge with more room at the bottom.

On an iPhone with Seascape saved to the home screen, a pale strip showed above the dark blue bar at the top of the screen. It is gone, and the bar now runs cleanly into the status bar behind the clock and battery.

On a phone the Assistant's header was sitting underneath your phone's clock and battery, which hid its close button. The menu can also be swiped down to dismiss now.

The menu now slides up from the bottom and fills the screen, with larger text and icons, and Settings and the close button always within reach at the bottom. Icons across the app are bigger too.

The top bar is down to three things — you, your shop, and your notifications — the menu now fills the screen, the dark band runs right to the top of your phone, and the cards that were getting cut off on the right now fit.

On a phone the dark bar with your shop's name now stays at the top while the page scrolls under it, the white edge above it is gone, and the buttons under the chart have room to breathe.

The home screen's three numbers now open a chart. Tap one and it drops down under it, showing the last 7, 30 or 90 days with the period before it drawn behind, so you can see whether this month is better than the last one. Tap it again to close it.

A white bar had appeared between your phone's clock and the dark home screen, with the buttons pushed into the right corner and nothing beside them. It is one dark band now, with your shop's name on the same row.

The dashboard has been rebuilt for mobile: a dark home screen that runs edge to edge into the top of your phone, your numbers and a trend line up front, and full-screen search, menu and assistant.

Navigation has moved off the top bar and onto a floating bar at the bottom of the screen, within thumb reach: search on the left, Home, Trips, Bookings and Menu in the middle, and the AI Assistant on the right.

Opening notifications and scrolling moved the whole page behind it instead of the list. Three other pop-up lists had the same fault and are fixed too.

The in-app AI Assistant had been failing on every question since early June — it now answers. The mobile header reaches the edge of the screen again, and the Seascape logo takes you home.

Every Seascape tab used to read the same thing, so with a few open you could not tell them apart. Now each one names the page and the shop — Point of Sale · Scuba Sensation · Seascape.

The anchor you have seen on Seascape since the beginning was a free icon anyone could download. It has been replaced with a mark drawn for us — three bubbles rising — and there is now a page at seascape.bz/brand with the files and colours on it, for anyone who needs them.

There's a bug icon in the top bar now. Press it and Seascape takes a picture of the page you're looking at, then asks what went wrong — so we see what you saw instead of reading a description of a screen you've already left.

The reference a card payment carries at the bank now names the Booking ID, and searching Reservations for any card reference — including older ones — finds the booking the money is on.

Every payout breakdown — the statement email, its CSV and PDF, and the settlements export — now names the booking each line was paid for, including bookings that have since been deleted.

A scheduled payout now closes at midnight the night before it is sent, so the batch is a run of whole days rather than the previous period plus part of the payout morning.

A payout that has been cut and not yet transferred is now chased every few hours instead of once a day, and the statement email lists every line rather than the first twelve.

Tightens the card refund path and the payout statement so a refund recorded by two routes at once, or a statement whose send is retried, cannot reach a customer or a shop a second time.

The statement email and PDF now count card payments and refunds separately, name the fee for what it is, and date every line in Belize time.

Fixes to the figures and wording on the statement you receive when a payout is sent, and to the payout ledger behind it.

A refund made at the bank is now picked up automatically and deducted from your next payout, and a card payment no longer loses its booking when a diver moves to another trip.

Choose how often Seascape pays you, and get a statement with every payout showing exactly which bookings it covers.

The icon Seascape showed in your browser tab belonged to the tool this product was originally built on. It is now the Seascape anchor, the same mark as the installed app and the logo on your emails.

Two things on the booking screen that could not be trusted: the Blank Waiver button, which had never once worked, and a waiver whose signature file had been lost still showing as signed in places the Send Waiver fix did not reach.

A sign-up code covering several activities no longer forces them all onto one day — which is what most shops need, because most activities do not run on the same dates.

A diver whose signature file had been lost still counted as signed, so there was no way to ask them to sign again — the product said "Already signed — nothing to send" and refused.

The activity picker on each participant's card showed the activities in the wrong order, which quietly put people on the wrong one.

A party doing different things can now sign up on one code, one Booking ID and one payment — and each person is judged by the rules of the activity they are actually on.

A waiver signed on your booking page could lose its signature image about a day later, so printing it failed. The cause is fixed, every signature still on file has been moved somewhere safe, and a daily check now watches for it.

Your booking page now knows how old everyone on a booking is — and what your shop lets them do at that age. Every rule is yours to set, and yours to switch off.

Yesterday's change held an unpaid online booking for 48 hours. That was not what was asked for — the instruction was to keep the 30 minute rule — and it is back to 30 minutes. The booking email now also tells the customer when their seat is released, which it never did.

The check that decides what to do about a bounced email did its work silently — if it decided to do nothing, there was no way to tell whether the email could not be matched, the message was not one worth acting on, or the failure was only temporary. All three looked identical.

A booking form that found a diver was under 18 simply started asking for a parent or guardian's name and a signature, and accepted whatever was typed. It never asked whether the person filling it in was actually their parent. And nothing stopped someone under 18 making the booking themselves.

When a participant form email could not be delivered, nothing anywhere knew. The guest never got their form, never filled in their details, and the first anyone found out was at the dock. The person who made the booking is now told so they can supply a working address.

A customer queried her deposit receipt believing she had been overcharged. Her money was always correct, but the receipt listed each trip's full price above what she had paid, and showed the wrong amount for the card charge. Receipts now show the payments and nothing else.

Auto-confirm was never actually running. It only fired when a customer booked online, so a trip that filled up through the office was never confirmed and nobody was told. It now runs every hour, and a snorkeling trip follows the dive tour it shares a boat with instead of its own headcount.

The checks on date of birth, certification and the signed waiver ran only in the customer's browser, and the refusal arrived after the booking already existed. Now the details travel with the booking and the server refuses both together, so a refusal means no booking at all.

A guest sent a participant form was asked to fill it in "before the trip — it only takes a minute", which reads as a courtesy. It is not: check-in refuses to let anyone board without their details, so a guest who treated it as optional found out at the dock.

An online booking with no payment used to be cancelled after 30 minutes, which was cancelling bookings out from under customers who fully meant to pay. It now holds for 48 hours — or 4 hours when the trip is tomorrow — and the customer is reminded halfway through.

A customer booking online, or checking themselves in, signs the liability waiver before the booking is made and before they pay. It was possible to reach the boat with a complete diver record and nothing signed.

"They'll fill this in themselves" is for the other people on the booking. The person doing the booking is diving too, and on a dive that needs a certification they now enter their own date of birth, diver level, agency, certification number and last dive date before the booking is made.

Customers were leaving their country code off, and the shop could not ring them back. Every phone field in Seascape now has the same searchable country picker the booking form has, and stores the number in a form you can dial from anywhere.

On a slow or dropped connection the booking form could forget that a dive needs a certification, and ask only for a date of birth. The diver would finish the form believing they were done, and you would find out at check-in.

A logo could come out blank or oversized depending on which email app the customer opened it in. Emails now tell the app exactly how big to draw it, so it looks the same everywhere.
