    Booking software for catamaran charters

A day sail with twenty guests, a private charter on Saturday, one boat and one crew. Deposits in, balances chased, manifest on the captain's phone.

The Seascape dashboard: today's trips, who is on each boat, alerts, and the week's bookings at a glance.

What goes wrong running catamaran charters on a spreadsheet?

Three things, and they are the same three in every shop we have sat in. Two people sell the same seat. The list the boat leaves with is not the list the office has. And the money taken at the dock does not match the money in the system, so somebody spends the evening working out which.

    • A private charter is held on a promise and the deposit never comes.
    • The balance is still owed when the guests are already on the dock.
    • The crew list, the guest list and the catering count are three different pieces of paper.

What does a day on Seascape look like?

It looks like the day you already run, with the re-typing taken out. The morning starts on one screen the office and the dock both read; the boat leaves with a manifest that is already right; the guests who turn up sign and pay where they stand; and the evening reconciles itself instead of being reconciled.

    Morning

    The day view

Today's sailing, guests against capacity, crew assigned, and the forecast for the crossing. A charter with an unpaid balance is flagged before anyone boards.

    On the water

    The manifest

Every guest by name, any dietary note, the crew for the day. One link the captain opens at the dock.

A boat manifest for one departure: every diver, their certification and gear, ready to print or hand to the captain.
    At the dock

    Check-in and the balance

The customer pays the balance from the link in their reminder or by card at the counter. Waivers are signed on a phone as guests arrive.

The liability waiver on a phone: the diver reads, signs with a finger, and it is filed against their booking.
    Evening

    Reconciliation

The deposit from three weeks ago and the balance from this morning are on the same Booking ID. The bar sales from the till are on the same financials page.

Financials: revenue by activity and by method for the period, with the trend charted.
