October 31, 2026Your whole team can get alerts on WhatsApp
Seascape's alerts — new bookings, trips that fill up, equipment due for service — now come on WhatsApp, with a text as the backup, and anyone on your Team list can get them, including crew who don't use Seascape. You send them an invite; they choose WhatsApp or SMS and agree themselves.
- An Alerts column on the Team list — each person shows Off, Invited, SMS or WhatsApp. Super Admins, Admins and anyone who can change staff can press Invite, and we email that person a link.
- They say yes themselves — the link opens a page where they confirm their own mobile number and pick WhatsApp or SMS. You can't turn alerts on for someone else, and nothing is sent until they agree. The link works once and expires in 7 days.
- Crew without a login — they get the same alerts as Staff (never payouts), and can change or stop them from a link, or by replying STOP.
- Already on text alerts? You keep getting texts. To switch to WhatsApp, open Settings → Text alerts and agree to the new wording, or ask your shop to invite you.
- Your number is filled in for you — Settings → Text alerts now offers the mobile number from your team record. Check it and tick the box yourself.
- Team records find their logins — a team record and a Seascape login with the same email in the same shop are now joined up, so a person shows once on the Team list.
