September 9, 2026Trips confirm themselves, and snorkelers are told when the dive boat is going
Auto-confirm was never actually running. It only fired when a customer booked online, so a trip that filled up through the office was never confirmed and nobody was told. It now runs every hour, and a snorkeling trip follows the dive tour it shares a boat with instead of its own headcount.
- It runs on its own now — every hour, for bookings taken anywhere: online, at the desk, over the phone. Previously only an online booking could trigger it.
- A class confirms as soon as one student books, whatever its minimum says. A course runs for one person.
- Snorkelers follow the divers — a snorkeling trip is confirmed when the dive tour sharing its boat, date and departure is confirmed, and never on its own numbers. A course on the same boat confirms nobody.
- They are told what they are waiting for — the booking page now says a snorkeling trip is confirmed once the dive tour on the same boat meets its minimum.
- Confirming from the calendar board now emails the divers — dragging a trip to Confirmed used to change the status silently. It now asks whether to tell them, like every other Confirm.
